Building the Security Foundation for Michigan's First Airport CONRAC

Consolidated Rental Car Facility (CONRAC) | Gerald R. Ford International Airport | Grand Rapids, MI

Gerald R. Ford International Airport CONRAC construction site and construction workers

The new $156 million Consolidated Rental Car Facility (CONRAC) is one of the signature projects within Gerald R. Ford International Airport's more than $600 million ELEVATE capital improvement program. As Michigan's first airport CONRAC, the facility centralizes rental car operations into a single location connected to the terminal by a skybridge, improving the passenger experience while supporting forecasted growth over the next 20 years. The project also creates opportunities to repurpose existing rental car areas into additional covered parking, further enhancing airport operations and convenience.

SecurAlarm partnered with the project team from the earliest stages of construction to deliver integrated access control, video surveillance, intercom, and fire alarm systems throughout the new facility. By extending existing airport security and life safety technologies into a brand-new operational environment, our team helped ensure seamless integration with campus-wide systems while supporting the needs of airport operations, rental car partners, and travelers.

As airports continue to invest in security that improves efficiency and prepares for future growth, SecurAlarm provides the integrated security and life safety solutions needed to support these complex, mission-critical environments.
